Tennis lessons can range from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your preference and the instructor's availability. The recommended length for group lessons with 3 pax or more would be a minimum of 90 minutes. Most individual lessons are typically one hour long.
This depends on your level of commitment and availability.
If you are a beginner or intermediate player, three lessons per week or more would be ideal in order to see progress and improvements.
If you are a more advanced player, you may want to take lessons more frequently too if your schedule allows.
Most of our beginner students are able to play after 2 months, assuming you take lessons consistently once or more every week. Of course the more lessons you have during the week, the faster your progress would be. Being able to hit baseline rallies would depend on how often you take lessons and practise.
It is important to remember that everyone learns at a different pace and the process may take longer for some people. Our coaches at SimplyTennis will endeavor to impart all that is necessary for you to succeed and help you achieve your goals.
Cancellations, if any, should be at least ONE day (24 hours) in advance. You should inform your coach at your earliest convenience if you are unable to make the lesson due to any unforeseen circumstances or reasons.
The full lesson fee will be charged if notice is less than 24 hours.
For private 1:1 lessons, you should inform your coach a week in advance to try and work out another suitable timing should you wish to reschedule to a different timeslot.
For pair or group lessons, you may attend another group class that is offered by SimplyTennis to make up during the same week or month should you be travelling if you're unable to attend your usual timeslot. Please note that you will still be charged if you're not able to find a suitable class that fits your schedule. We are not obliged to accommodate your preferred timing.
You are encouraged to be punctual for all your lessons. The coach will not be able to extend the lesson if you are late. The agreed upon lesson time and duration would include setting up of equipment (if any) and packing up of balls.
However, if your coach is late for whatever reason, we would make up the lost time for you.
In the event of inclement weather, you may choose to cancel and reschedule the class one hour before the commencement of the lesson if you prefer. There will be no charge.
However, if the rain has stopped for more than one hour prior to commencement of your lesson and you decide to cancel, the full lesson fee would apply.
If you are 15 minutes into your lesson, and unexpectedly it starts to pour heavily, it will still be counted as a full hour. Such occurrences are usually rare.
If the rain isn't heavy, you may choose to continue if you are comfortable with the rain intensity. However, if you decide to stop, it will still be counted as a full hour.
The coach may be able to make up for the lost time by extending for you slightly during your subsequent lesson. However, this is subject to court availability and if your coach has time to do so.
Please note that your coach is not obliged to extend the lesson on a separate occasion every time it rains and any extension (no matter how long) is based on goodwill.
